Arashiyama is a beautiful district in the western outskirts of Kyoto. Just inside of it stands Arashiyama Benkei, established in 1969. Built in the traditional sukiya-zukuri architectural style, this place is not lacking in character. Arashiyama Benkei is not simply a place to rest and eat. In addition, it also offers onsen facilhttp://www.benkei.biz/ities for ultimate relaxation.

Last year we stayed at this place during our Kyoto trip. It has a beautiful location along the Katsura river. The outside view is so mesmerizing of lush mountains and waterfall. The room was spacious and it has a private onsen which was a treat. The breakfast and dinner both were amazing. Staff was gracious and services were top-notch. It was a memorable experience for us.
