The concept of Genka Bar is both simple and brilliant. After you pay 1,500yen to enter, all food and drink from then on is sold at wholesale prices. Glasses of beer cost the same or cheaper than you would pay for a bottle at the supermarket while shots of spirits. Bacardi rum, Beefeaters gin, and Stolichnaya vodka are all available for 60yen each!

Nice place with great variety of drinks

Genka bar was a surprise to me and my friends as we could pay 1500 yen entrance fee and order anything without service charge or margin above the super market price. You get good and cheap draught beer as well as whiskeys or cocktails of a large variety. Unfortunately there is not a great choice of food though salads, smoked salmons, sausages are available. The interior and the lighting is soft and relaxing. The staff are courteous. It is a great place for inexpensive drinks.
