Operated by sake festival organizers Kurand, this crowdfunded Ikebukuro gem combines the no-frills atmosphere of a standing bar with a deep passion for Japan’s signature spirit. More a casual living room than a watering hole suited to quick boozing, the Sake Market requires all customers to pay a ¥3,240 entrance fee, which gets you unlimited access to a selection of around 100 varieties of nihonshu.

My friend and I continue to be surprised everyday in Tokyo. This place allows you to pick sake from the fridge directly. The environment is ultra modern and drinks are 500 yen per glass. Unlimited drink experience can be had at 300 yen we met some real nice and friendly people there.
