Touzan Bar, the basement bar at the Kyoto Hyatt Regency, confounds expectations of generic hotel bars. The traditional home-style Japanese interior design is so warm and inviting. Because of this, you’ll quickly forget that it’s a hotel bar. Also, the locally made sakes and beers allow you to have the full Kyoto experience. There’s a daily happy hour between 5 pm and 7 pm, and the adjoining restaurant serves excellent Japanese cuisine.

A nice dining experience with wonderful cocktails

Touzan bar was visited by me with my boyfriend last month. The interior is very attractive with artistic stuff mounted on the glass walls. The cocktails here are prepared by world-class artisans and they have brilliant taste. There is also a restaurant here where we tried cheese platter and tempura, both were delicious. The ambience is pleasant. It was a really a wonderful place for having cocktails and scrumptious food at the same place.
